Nothing says Labor Day like Hiking and Mustaches

Ben got home a day early from his fishing trip to Ellensburg, WA so we got to spend the holiday together as a family and it was heavenly!

We spent the morning working around the house, I went for a run, then came back and took Logan for a run (he asks to go, I swear). Then we packed up and drove up the right fork of Hobble Creek and hiked up the Wardsworth trail.

Ben packed Linc on the way in

It was so green and gorgeous but I bet it will all turn soon - my favorite!

And of course Logan had to throw every stick and rock he could find into the creek

Ben has a geocache up there and that was our stopping point. It's always fun to look and see who has signed his register lately and what treasures they've left.

The boys took a break and got to snack and play around.
Of course they spent most of the time sitting and throwing rocks in the water.

Especially Lincoln.
He loved picking up every rock around him and tossing it in. And he always went for the big ones, not the nice little Lincoln-sized ones.

See here I am trying to get a nice little one for him, but no... he had to have the biggest one he could pick up with one hand.
Ben fished (Lo's rod)

And Lo fished
And Ben fished some more

And a bit more on the way down
We ran into some nice ladies who offered to take a group shot of us

Then later I got out 18 mo clothes for Lincoln and it was so fun coming across these jammies that Lo used to wear all the time.
We always used to joke about how Logan reminded us of a Gondola driver when he wore them...

See?

So Ben suggested painting a mustache on Linc to complete the outfit and naturally I went along with the idea.
I love the tummy sticking out

Then of course it was Logan's turn.
He, however, didn't seem like a little Italian man to us.
He was more in the Western realm, so we settled on the Tom Selick 'stache.

Man I love this boy
Ending the day with stories and a mustache, of course.

You seem to make the most with very little - truly a gift.
How beautiful a day that was for all of you. It's a wonderful world isn't it?
