Why do kids come up with better words for things? "Snug" is a MUCH better word for that ugly thing than "slug"
(My favorite new word from mercer was "swizzors" instead of scissors)
The Snug is really a snail. Snugs don't have shells. Snails do. We had them in San Jose all over but I never heard of putting salt on them until I grew up.
