Right before the Plunge

Here are the pictures from that fateful day that we dropped our camera into the water. Luckily the card was still good, so we didn't lose any pics, just the camera. But the good news is Ben found the exact same camera on KSL for fairly inexpensive. Happy Anniversary present to us!

Swimming at 7 Peaks...

The water was even warm enough for Linc... he loves getting in the pool. I think this was his second time swimming.
We have a little blow up bathtub (that I didn't know was a bathtub when I bought it at a garage sale...) that we use to float him at the wave pool and lazy river. It's quite funny looking actually - but hey, whatever works!

Logan being brave - he hates getting water in his eyes.

and the last picture that poor little camera ever took...

... then plop - into the water it went.

Here's to a fun summer spent at 7 Peaks!

Traveling Man

I realize this picture's not a gem or anything (being as the main object is out of focus...) but it illustrates my point.

You see the blanket? Lincoln was on that blanket when I set him down this morning. And when I walked back in the room about 5 minutes later he was here...

and was so sure that he could get past that big red barn too.

This is a trick he learned in Washington during our July vacation, but now he's just getting too efficient at it.

Here are some more shots of roly poly that I got today:

Can you tell he's a hand-in-the-mouth kind of a guy?

Lots of vacation pics to come. We just got our new computer changed over (here's a toast to speedier things and a not-so-sad farewell to our 8 year old computer) so I have lots of photos waiting for me to review and enjoy!

Up to my elbows...

...in poop. Okay, so I'm just up to my wrists in poop.

You see, today is day #2 of potty training.

Tally: pee accidents - none. poop accidents - 3.

I just don't have the heart to throw Logan's awesome super-hero undies away, or the wallet to keep buying more. So on go the laytex gloves and into the toilet goes my hand, attempting to remove runny poo with a one-handed swishing motion. This takes talent, and stomach.

But in all reality, day 1 and 2 haven't been as bad as I expected. Granted I have a journey ahead, I'm sure. Luckily for me, for the past year, Lo has been peeing on-command in a potty at night before bath time. So that should make this all a little easier. He even told me today that he had to pee and went without the "reminder timer" going off. Yay for progress!

PS) How do you make a child's poo not so runny? :-)
