For a long time we embraced Logan's mullet, but today I had had enough of it and decided I was finally ready to accept that my baby was old enough to get a hair cut. The unfortunate part was that I decided to do it myself tonight before bedtime...not so bueno.
I was just going to trim off the mullet and a little off the bangs, but my scissors just kept on cutting and this is what we got. wow. In my defense, though, Logan would not stay still for one millisecond, so I got a snip here and snip there and, well, you can see the finished product below for yourself. I think we'll make a trip to the salon this week.
Funny thing is who knew a hair cut could be so emotional for a mom. I actually cried after I took the first big snip...and the second... and the third! I was a mess! What a baby.

Ahh you are so brave to cut his hair...I wouldn't want to cut it either...he looks so much older with it cut off! You did a good job for having to work with a wriggly toddler!
No more red neck Logan. I think it looks pretty good Kristi. He's adorable no matter what.
That was some mullet! I also think it looked pretty good. I trim Kylie's hair and I know how hard it can be.
HAHAHAHA! He had a baby mullet-That is so funny! Great haircut!
It's not so bad Kris. Everyone else is right, he's cute no matter what. We all loved him with the mullet right? ;)
wow-i'd probably cry too-glad my girl doesn't need a trim. it's amazing how it changes the little baby face into a little boy face! they turn in to little toddlers before you blink!
Hey - it looks cute! You did a good job and don't need the salon. Wait til next time! Goodbye mullet!
oooh, so cute kris. I think you did a good job. It is a little emotional the first time you cut it by yourself. He looks so handome and a little older, maybe that is the hard part.
cuuutteee haircut! i love it. he is one of the most darling little boys i have ever seen!
Oh my... he is so cute, no matter what his hair looks like. I saw him last night at the activity and couldn't stop staring! HE IS ADORABLE! You didn't do bad... I think it looks great! Especially in a mohawk! I remember Hailey's first cut, it was a sad day! It gets better! :-)
Well, I love the baby hair but he is cute just forever and forever, no matter what kris. I know you inherited the emotion from me.
There will be more emotional times to come though so just be brave and strong. When he's a teenager you will wish for a Missionary haircut.
Hi, I'm so glad you posted a comment!! I love to keep in touch and see what people are up to. Logan is so cute! Where are you guys living?
1st of all, Logan's mullet was hilarious! Loved the ponytail, too. I am glad that you found our blog. I found Daisha through you too. We so have to get together. Are you in Provo or Orem??
Okay, maybe it's just the picture but I think you did an AWESOME job!!! It is so hard to cut a toddler's hair, I'm surprised you had the guts to do it. He looks darling. Just take him to Cookie Cutters in a few weeks if his hair is still bugging you.
